1989 E30 BMW 320 Injection Automatic Baur T.C. 71000 Miles - 21 Stamp Service History Full Leather - BBS Alloys - M Wheel Total Show Condition First registered and pre delivery inspected by Jacksons BMW in Jersey on 04.07.1989. The car has resided in Jersey most of its life coming to our shores in 2013. In Jersey it had only 2 keepers, the first owners tenure lasting until 2002, the second up to 2013. Since being registered in the UK it has only 2 private keepers. Residing in the Chester area until 2018, it was then bought by husband and wife car enthusiasts from Peter Vardy Heritage in May 2018 at a discounted price of £10200. The car has been used sparingly since and resided in Cupar, Fife. This E30 is of the highest quality and in virtual perfect condition with a high degree of originality and a tasteful specification. Certainly, a vehicle that will be both an appreciating asset and a worthy addition to any BMW collection. The many detailed high-resolution images should illustrate just how beautiful this example is, and, consequently how it differs greatly from a tired UK example that at this age will be rough and worn. The Baur Option Baur is a Karosserie or coachbuilder in Stuttgart, Germany, which has been building BMW convertibles since the 1930s. They enjoy an excellent reputation for quality and do prototype work for many manufacturers such as Porsche, Audi and Ford. The Baur family received a patent for the design of a folding top for luxury automobiles around the time BMW was building the first car with the BMW name. In 1971 they began production of the safer "Targa-style" body with the 2002. (Targa was a registered Porsche name, so they had to call it something else.) Originally an aftermarket option available through BMW dealers, the E21 3 Series TC1 was built with full factory authorization, and covered under the factory warranty. The roll-bar version or "Top Cabrio" (TC) continued with the E30 TC2 even after Baur developed the BMW E30 Convertible design for BMW, and which BMW built. These TC cars can be built at any time, on an aftermarket basis, the owner supplies the car to be converted, a costly bespoke option. Service History A total of 21 service stamps, 18 of which are BMW dealer. 2 documented cambelt changes. A full spread of paperwork detailing the import process and a decent amount of bills for work completed in the last few years.
