1984 911 Carrera 3.2 Coupe 20 Service Stamps Large History File The 3.2 Carrera is the last of the torsion bar suspended cars and this example is therefore the ultimate evolution of that classic original template that had been refined since 1965. This car is to be coveted and cherished and is certainly one of the better 3.2 cars I have had the pleasure in handling. Chassis : WPOZZZ91ZES102080 Engine: 6303801 Reg : A68 OKM Colour : Guards Red Cabin : Black pinstripe cloth half vinyl Owners : 8 previous Magazine featured car, Porsche Post August 2018. Subject to a feature in 2018, the most recent keeper being an enthusiast collector to whom we supplied this car a number of years ago. History A C16 UK car first registered and pre delivery inspected by Waldron Porsche Porsche in London on 07 03 1984. The history is impressive, spreading over two separate service booklets. Included in this, incredibly sales correspondence back to 1984 to the first owner pre delivery. The paper spread of bills dates right back to 18 months old, you just cannot buy a story like this. As mentioned it is unusual to find A 38 year old Porsche with such a comprehensive file of receipts dating back to 1986 trailing all the way forward, the MOT history is complete from 1987 on. Recent work within last 2k miles has included a £5000 spend at the ClassicCar Workshop attending to major servicing. Of note this car has abeautifully detailed rebuilt engine bay, at massive cost this has been stripped and restored with new components, there is simply no room for improvement under the engine lid, it's quite an eyeful. Most recetly serviced May this year. A UK car that is unmolested and unmodified, this is a matching numbers car as it left the factory. It was available at launch in both standard and sport variants, the sport featured front and rear spoilers which tended to dominate the car, whilst the non - sport carried over the more delicate appearance of earlier variants with no spoilers. At the time the Sport was visually more dramatic and was far more successful in terms of sales. Coachwork Well preserved Inner wings, sills and door shuts. Rarely seen in such a beautiful condition as this. Glossy Red coach work retaining a high standard of finish & presentation with a tangible depth to the paint and zero corrosion evident. Straight non dented original factory panels with the underside of the vehicle being in excellent order, all under arches and oil return pipes are superb. Take some time to pour over the many detailed images of all the areas other sellers may be keen to hide, it answers a multitude of questions. No evidence of welding, all original. Interior Very distinctive and in wonderful condition. The chairs are in great order as are the carpets and door cards. There is very little in the way of deterioration or warping of trims as you may find in other examples of the era, this one is nice and dry and in great shape. Nothing is ragged or worn, this is a pleasant place to soak up some miles. Summary An early 3.2 car that looks fantastic with this combination you will never tire of. Prices haven't yet reached levels that the pre-74 cars have, making this still a very decent value classic value 911.
