CONCOURS CONDITION
Same keeper for 23 years, dry used and garage stored and has an
astonishing Porsche service history file
with 23 stamps, 21 of which are Porsche dealer. Serviced and maintained
without compromise consistently
by Porsche (some eye watering bills), it has even been getting it's
annual MoT by Porsche, this is one of the
best driving and best looking 944's I have seen. It has an unweathered
finish with almost no patina, it has
always been stored in a garage and used on dry days for the last 23
years.
This is wonderfully preserved example inside outside and underneath, it
is not a restored car, this is far better
than that for it is original.
23 years in the same tenure, the passenger seats look like they have
never been sat on - they maybe haven't.
The boot and luggage area appears unused, the carpets as new, there is
ZERO fading or sunbleaching
(Cobalt bleaches to purple/grey) to any fabrics, no damp swollen or
mis-shapen trim, the roof vinyl and fittings are
unlike any you have seen since 1990..right down to the foam underside of
the boot carpet it's immaculate.
Concours cars do not match some of the high standards seen inside this
944. Inside is like a new car in many
aspects. The paintwork is like a coat of enamel (has the odd blemish,
pictured) with a real quality finish
throughout. Lovely set of Design 90's original to the car have just had
a refresh and have a matching set of
premium Michelin Tyres.
The engine bay is an
astonishing display of classic Porsche presented in timewarp condition, dripping
with yellow zinc against near surgically clean white. It is totally clean and
free from dirt or dust, this
includes all components too. The underside is totally solid and with detailing
would look as good as the
top. The sills are original, as this is a dry use and dry stored car it has no
history of corrosion at all.
This is a runout car the last of the model,
they threw all the options to them, strange one this though
as it was ordered with very little spec, three codes
only, yet is has plenty of unlisted spec which is odd.
We suspect this was intended to be one of the fabled
SE cars but was sold prior to modification?
It has the colour combo and colour matched spoiler of
the SE cars.
