1989 Porsche 944 S2 3.0 Coupe 110k Miles Linen Silver / Black Script Non Sunroof A/C Earls Court Motor Show Press Car '89 File Of History 6 Owners Earls Court Press Car 1989 This is claimed to be one of the first 944 S2's in the country in 1989 and it was the Earls Court Motor Show press car of that year. There is a picture os it on the stand inside the service book, a lovely bit of provenenace. As it was a press car it has some cool opitons: there is no sunroof and it has air conditioning. This is a lovely condition 944 S2 that we were in process of preparing for retail. It's had lots of recent work including.. Timing belt Rollers and tensioners Water pump Clutch Brake lines Fuel lines Wings and sills repairs Starter motor refurbished Battery + more ..and it has a fantastic huge file of history with all the old MoT's and service receipts and historic paperwork. Non Runner - Siezed Engine It's believed the oil pump, which is friction driven off the camshaft, is affixed on with a series of washers that need to be installed in the correct order and manner and torqued to a specific setting, was not fitted properly, subsequently the the engine has siezed due to oil starvation. It seized while it was being turned over while to trying to start it, therefore it's believed it may be repairable or in the worst case it may need a replacement engine. We have sourced the egnine, a chap we know has it on hand to sell for £1900, however the the guy we know who can do this work cannot look at it for some time yet, so I'm offering it for sale as is and I'll take my loss on the chin. It's a complete car nothing is missing, all the parts are there, if the engine does need replaced, you would have lots of parts to sell to recoupe funds. Condition is good, it's a decent clean 944 that we would be asking high teens for once ready. Last MoT test was in 2021 and I believe it's had all the advisory items done since. HPI clear in all respects and only 6 keepers. Paint is in good order, the wheels are immaculate and they have new tyres. Cabin is fresh enough with no immediate wear and nice dry carpets. By all accounts this would be a £17,995 car if it was right.
