1990 944 S2 3.0 Coupe Tuerkisblau LM5M (Turquoise Blue) Linen Leather with Blue Piping + Two Tone Dash' File of History inc all old MoT's 16 Stamps + Belts 2016 (By Promax) Engine Rebuilt & Detailed Engine Bay Certificate of Authenticity Previously Sold By The Modern Classic Car Co Perhaps one of the more unusual 944 S2's to come to market this year. A curiously well specced example in a shade little seen on a Porsche. First point to note is the colour does not translate to the screen. What you see below as a light blue is actually a moody pearlescent turquoise blue. Trouble is, digital cameras don't do turquoise, they see blue or green dependent on the more prominent colour, in this instance the camera sees blue but this is not a true reflection of the colour... Enthusiast owned by a Porsche GB member, this show car formed part of the display and parade lap at the recent Silverstone Classic event where it was very well received. Has also been featuring in classic vintage rallies and events and is known within the PorscheGB circle with the most recent 2 previous keepers being enthusiast members of the club. Often quoted but rarely accurate, this car is in very nice condition top to bottom and will suit the fussiest enthusiast. Couple of thousand spent at Promax Motorsport, known to be the No.1 944 specialists in the UK, on belts rollers water pump + much more noted below, fine fettling. This vehicle is more or less unmarked and with a pristine interior showing little wear on any component. Presents with a super clean engine bay, the engine has been stripped down and rebuilt and the actual engine block itself has been detailed and all ancillaries too, quite an eyeful and money well spent! Mechanicals This 944 drives absolutely perfectly. A number of visits to Promax this year have ironed out any imperfections. The timing belts and balance belts rollers and water pump were replaced by Promax to the tune of over £2000. A further £1400 has been spent replacing suspension bushes and castor mounts and any other item showing even the slightest wear. The drive is nothing short of fantastic. As such, it inspects at 100% and has a clean bill of health from the most respected 944 specialists in the UK. Bodywork Finished in unmarked Tuerkisblau (translates to Turquoise Blue), the camera fails to capture the exact colour of Turquoise, not to be confused with the similar Tahoe Blue, turquoise is a far more exotic shade with hues of Aqua. The paintwork is unblemished and the paint finish of the highest quality, wonderfully smooth like a billiard ball with no textured orange peel. Stoneguards are present on each arch and are as new. The sills are in perfect order inside and out, there is no corrosion whatsoever on this car. All rubber items are pristine with no perishing and around the glass, the rubbers and window scrapers appear as new. Correct number plate mounts are present. Badging and decals to the rear are new items of this year. Simply cannot be faulted there is nothing negative in the slightest, this is a real stunner and will satisfy the fussiest keeper. Windscreen was replaced recently (due to a solitary chip) so there is zero delamination or clouding around the edges. Ready to show. Cabin The immaculate theme continues aboard, the cream colour is called Linen. Linen leather comfort chairs are piped in contrasting navy blue and are in as new condition with no sign of wear. These were reconolised this year by a proper Connolly craftsman. These are electric and all directions for both chairs are in working order. Carpets are lovely and clean with no dirt or stains and the LCD clock is in working order. Steering wheel and gear shifter in navy blue to match the dashboard and seat pipe are in great order. A new set of fitted carpet mats finish the floors nicely. All the switches in front of the shifter have been renewed due to the logos fading on the older parts. Scores very highly again. Wheels Original Design '90 alloys are in perfect order with no marks or kerbs Nice coloured crest wheel centres and the lightweight wheel bolts are correct satin black with no patina or decay. Each wheel is wearing a brand new Continental tyre, the correct set up for the car.. 205/50/16 Front 225/45/16 Rear Peer inside the wheels to see lovely re-finished calipers and almost fresh discs, top marks again, there is no room for improvement as you would expect from an example of this quality. Engine bay Stunning, those dark photos do not do it justice. The engine has been rebuilt and at this time fully detailed. By this I mean the engine block itself is finished in lovely bright silver and all around the inner wings and bulkhead is super clean. Refinished mounts and intake manifold in high gloss, the rocker finished in silver with red. The labour of love is obvious. No dirt in sight with lovely paintwork as fresh as the rest of the car. Top marks again. Boot Lift carpet and the boot floor and wheel well appears as new. The load cover is in working order, there is a complete toolkit and the original factory suitcase-style air compressor. The spare wheel is unused. Summary Potentially one of the sweetest S2's in the land, we believe you will simply not find a better condition or nicer looking one. The colour is unique and very rare. The level of detail in this car is sublime with things like switches, glass, seals and gaskets replaced for no reason other than patina. A real enthusiasts car that has been cherished, lavished and finely fettled by a mature owner with little regard for expense. An item of passion to keep in your garage and be very proud of. The mileage should be largely ignored. If we could ask more for this then we certainly would, it really is that good. Other Info V5 Reg document MoT One year.
