The driver involvement and road feedback is something sadly lost in the modern day car so driving this 964 on a sunny day has a freedom and connection with the road that the coupe lacks and should this require explanation then the point will be wasted on you. This early '93 3.6 Carrera is among last of the superb 964 series and this example with such fantastic condition and low mileage is surely to be coveted and cherished. The Drive The engine runs beautifully with excellent oil pressure. Gear change is tight & supple. On the road manners are impeccable with sure grip from the quality tires, the whole experience is very tight and solid a clear indicator of low miles and quality ride which is second to none with modern Fuch 17 " rims replicating a comfortable experience on a level that makes a good alternative to the stock 16". The whole impression is of a car that still feels box fresh moving as one whole piece with excellent class leading suspension and a notable muted exhaust, it so civilised, that faint Boxer engine purr... The last owner has cherished his hard earned Porsche for the last 4 years keeping it garaged throughout the winter and having it routinely serviced and maintained while enjoying the summers, he did not want to part with it however a business venture proved too enticing and here we are. Over the last 4 years there have been over £18,000 in tweaks and upgrades to an already immaculate car, this was not restoration, this was good stuff like brakes and the best suspension system on the market. The servicing is up to date and it will receive a fresh MoT. The original Red service booklet has 21 stamps being attended to most recently by Kenny Dunn in Edinburgh to a high standard In addition I have a folder full of bills going back over the years plus every mot from new adding up to a wholly great story. Externally the coachwork is gleaming with no problem areas and it has a tidy underside too. Crucially the car is the correct shade of Guards Red with no mismatch panels or poor paintwork. Every panel is original with the factory B posts still in place with manufacturer's nipple and labels to b post and under bonnet. The inner wings and front load area under the carpets reveal a totally original example as it rolled out of Stuttgart. Aboard the cabin time has literally been standing still with no wear indicators to seats doors cards or any leathers worth comment, a particularly sharp vehicle internally with original carpets and mats in wonderfully preserved order which is the general theme throughout, all in full working order.
