964 C4 Coupe
For many the definitive 911, due to dwindling availability the
964
is a much sought after model & appreciating in price rapidly.
The driver
involvement and road feedback is something sadly lost in the
modern day
car so driving this 964 on a sunny day has a freedom and
connection with
the road that the coupe lacks and should this require
explanation then
the point will be wasted on you. This example with such
fantastic original
condition and low mileage, plus engine rebuild is surely to be
coveted and
cherished.
The Drive
The engine runs beautifully with excellent oil pressure, the
mechanicals
feeling like. Gear change is tight & supple thanks to a new
clutch. On
the road manners are impeccable with sure grip from the the 4wd,
the whole
experience is very tight and solid a clear indicator of the low
miles and
ride which is second to none with original 16 " rims providing a
comfortable
experience on a level that the 17 " alternatives can never
replicate.
The whole impression is of a car that still feels box fresh
moving as one
whole piece with excellent suspension and a note able muted
exhaust,
it so civilized its not true, just that faint Boxer engine
purr...
Service Information
The engine has just been rebuilt at great cost to remedy an oil
leak, see images of this in the gallery and dry ice detailed
thereafter. See service intervals
below, The car was inspected & valued two years ago by Porsche
GB and was valued then at 85k, ( document pictured) things have
moved on since and believe this to represent good value as
values continue to climb.
The servicing is up to date with a new MOT as of today with no
advise.
The original Red service book was complete a long time ago plus
a useful
printout of all services and MOTs as pictured in the gallery. (
see below
for full details)
Externally the coachwork is gleaming with no problem areas and
its remarkably tidy underside too. Crucially the car is the
correct shade of Velvet Red with no mismatch panels or poor
paintwork. Every panel is original with the factory B posts
still in place with manufacturer's nipple and labels to b post
and under bonnet. The inner wings and front load area under the
carpets reveal a totally original example as it rolled out of
Stuttgart.
Aboard the cabin time has literally been standing still with
little to no wear
indicators to seats doors cards or any leathers worth comment, a
particularly sharp vehicle internally with original carpets and
mats in clean
preserved order which is the general theme throughout, all in
full working
order.

Summary
An almost unrivalled 964 in the current market, those well read
among
you will be well aware of the significant advantages that this
model
offers, ready to be appreciated stored and maintained in the
manner
it has clearly been accustomed. This scarcely available model is
nothing other than a pleasure to be handling and have grown very
fond of gazing and marveling at the utter originality
of it, the classic clean lines offer a simplicity that is
perhaps not
yet fully appreciated truth be told, a car that captivates you
very
easily and truly deserves a climate to be kept in.
The car is supplied with its original tool kit, compressor,
jack, spare wheel, original document wallet with its original
hand books, service book, largeA4 folder of history and all
its original amber lamps.
