Supplied on 01.09.2002 by Porsche Colchester. This car has both a
superb specification and excellent service records. It has been maintained
by recognized and respected professionals (mainly Porsche dealer) and is a
very attractive example that is a wonderful open top drive. It comes complete
with a full book pack, two keys and a current MOT through to July 25.

Service History & Maintenance - 20 Stamp History
I have thoroughly checked over the mechanicals of this 911 and have satisfied
myself it to be amongst the best of examples. The engine is smooth using no oil
or water and with no leaks. The service book contains 20 stamps for engine
services, all of them Porsche dealer bar two. Also stamps for brake fluid changes
and several body inspections.

Condition
Originally the car was from the South of England so the underside of the car
is in a really good condition for a car of this age. In fact, the previous owner
took the car to Porsche Glasgow, where the mechanics team brought him into the
workshop to tell I’m it’s one of the cleanest they’d ever seen, and gave the
car a clean bill of health.
The coach work is superb with minimal marks & little in any way that belies
its age. Everything is working order as Porsche intended. The coach work
presents remarkably well with gleaming paint work, and level panels that are
free from dings and it presents with a depth of shine. All factory labels
present the most important of which being the white label on underside of the
bonnet. Recently, the car has been fitted with a replacement exhaust, inclusive
of flexes and back boxes, along with new clamps purchased from Porsche Glasgow.
It has also received a new break servo and oil filler pipe.

Summary
Stunning highly appointed generation 2 996 Carrera with the obvious advantages
that the later more powerful robust engine merits. The hard shell hard top
affords the best of both seasons, the rigidity and solid structure of the shell
for winter and security purposes, with the option to do the wind in your hair
look at me thing should the sun shine. The combination of convertible and
Tiptronic works really well, makes it an ideal touring car and one better
suited to traffic situations. Having owned many manuals and tips I can say that
I prefer the Tip, this only comes with experience though. Buy a good one now while they are still affordable.
