The Porsche Bi-Xenon headlights offer exceptional brightness, even in challenging conditions. The car works perfectly, exactly as it left the factory. Note : I have owned this car for a year, and I replaced the steering wheel with a Momo Prototipo and boss kit as I feel it looks superb in the car and frees up the space in the cockpit, it also provides real feel when pressing on. I have the original in excellent condition which slips back on and both are included in the sale. Background Production of the second generation 997 series 911 Carrera S began in mid-2008, it featured an all-new engine with Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) which is mounted 10mm lower in the car, revised suspension system, new front bumper with larger air intakes, LED rear and front daylight running lights, all new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) System with touchscreen, hard drive navigation and Bluetooth. Driving a .1 S back-to-back you notice major differences, more power, far better suspension and compliance on the road, the car doesn’t bob about as much, and the engine is more economical. It all adds up to a far quicker car and more comfortable over a road. Wheels, Tyres and Brakes Fitted with the Porsche Exclusive order Gloss Black 19-inch Carrera S II lightweight alloy wheels, which are original, unmarked, free of damage and corrosion. The brake discs and pads are in good condition, the tyres are N rated Michelin Pilot Sport high performance tyres. The red callipers retain a good level of finish. Service History Our .2S has a full Official Porsche Centre (OPC) and Specialist service history. The last major was completed at 54,900 miles and included an inspection; spark plug change and brake fluid change. The Brembo brake discs and pads on the front and rear were also changed for new items. Whilst this work was done, PorschCare also replaced the exhaust heat shields. PorschaCare have carried out an overrev check and full diagnostic check which all come back excellent. Covered a mere 59,000 miles and has been looked after by its former keepers regardless of cost. The car is HPI clear, with a current MOT until May 24. The last service was carried out just a few hundred miles ago in Feb 22 by Porsche specialist. At 56295 miles there was a significant bill of £6500 with RPM Technik covering overhauls of the suspension and coolant system as below, which is a nice bill to have moving forward. - Front coolant pipes replaced - Front shocks replaced - Front springs and top mounts replaced - Front drop links replaced - A/C condensers replaced and system serviced - New rear tail pipe finishers I have the complete owner’s wallet with all manuals and two crested remote Porsche keys. The car is stored with great care in my own personal garage. The battery condition is excellent maintained on ctek. A new MOT is booked this week. Summary This a sublime example of the second-generation Porsche 997 Carrera S Coupe with the purist choice of manual gearbox with a superb specification. Porsche updated the 997 line-up including styling changes, and a revised engine with direct injection. As a result, the updated 997 models were faster, lighter and more fuel efficient than the outgoing versions, with improved handling, and crucially they were reliable. For the purist this is last and best of the naturally aspirated engines, the .2 3.8 S is all the 911 anyone would ever need, in this classic set of up of rear wheel drive and manual gearbox you don’t drive this car, you dance with it. Having owned/driven many Turbo and GT products this is the sweet spot. The suspension refresh has renewed the feel of this 911, its quite incredible to drive, everything else that has come before has just led to this point of 911 perfection. £45,995 Let us sell your car We are always looking for classic cars in all states of repair.
