This Car - Pre facelift
I have owned a few of these B5s over the years however this is a
stand
out example that has not been modified. Equally it has been very
well serviced which in my experience is always the first thing
to get
skimped on as a car ages. Sharp looking Avant with a complete
story with
nothing missing, certainly a future classic these models are
drying up
and have stopped depreciating. The best colour Imola Yellow and
it
presents very well.
The S4
The S4's compact executive body subtly underplays its remarkable
performance potential. A compact 2.7-litre six-cylinder twin
turbo
powerhouse, mildly tuned to delivers around 265 bhp. However,
its far
from just being a one-dimensional car, it provides a comfortable
and
functional cockpit, fine-quality materials, and upscale
conveniences.
Its trump card for me is its adaptability, it sounds utterly
fantastic and wonderfully silken and when the weather turns foul
its has tractional qualities that are truly inspiring for a
driver.
As one would expect, with this amount of performance its
thrilling whether
highway or winding back roads, crucially this one drives very
well, solid and tight, it has covered some mileage as have all
the best loved cars though
significantly has been well treated and well serviced, an
expensive car new
and it has not been skimped on. The Audi runs and drives very
well and is nice and solid even on an uneven road surface. It
has all it's power and the turbos boost properly, drive cannot
be criticised in any way.
Service book has 15 stamps, there's a file of paperwork and
old MoT's
and over £8000 of recent bills sine 2023. This is a well
cared for Audi.
The interior of the car is clean and wears it's mileage
incredibly
well. Some age related wear on the chairs and driver seat
bolster is worn and the headcloth is begining to sag at the rear
and there are some marks on the boot carpet, it does present
well though and is a pleasant place to be.
Audi interiors are some of the finest in the luxury car arena;
one
look at the S4's cabin and the high quality of materials used is
quickly
apparent. Tasteful accents abound, the serious performance
intentions
of the Audi S4 are reinforced by standard Recaro front seats
which
feature aggressive bolstering to hold one in place during
spirited runs
through the twisties. The cabin as is clearly visible from the
many
pictures is in excellent condition and in full working order.
A genuine and honest car that looks magnificent, smooth, rapid,
stylish and luxurious all set to a glorious turbocharged
soundtrack.
The S4 is a car that makes sense in such a wet country as ours.
With all
wheel-drive traction and a whole raft of electronic safety
measures,
its effortlessly secure, a combination of big power, damp roads
and an
enthusiastic approach wont phase it at all.
