2003 Porsche Boxster 2.7 Final Edition Diamond Black / Black / Black 103,000 Miles Full Service History 14 stamps Sport Seats Bose Current Keeper 7 Years Supplying dealer JCT600 Chassis WP0ZZZ98Z4U600482 Registered 01.10.2003 The Boxster 2.7 Magic The Boxster became the yardstick by which all other sports cars were judged, including Porsche’s own 911. It blends thrilling performance and excellent road holding with surprising practicality (the Boxster effectively has two boots) and impressive build quality. The earliest 2.5-litre versions can feel a little underpowered, and suffered from mechanical issues that prompted the change to the more robust 2.7 engine. This evolution of the 986 model is the sweet spot of the model range with the powerful 228 bhp unit that is a sheer delight and razor sharp to drive. 986 Final Edition This is the final evolution of the 986 model and as such the best of the model range with the considerable 260 bhp unit that is a sheer delight and razor sharp to drive. The model received a minor facelift in 2003 however it all added up to a far more appealing car. The plastic rear window was replaced by glass with obvious benefits arising. Porsche installed a different exhaust pipe and modified air intake. The often disliked orange "fried egg" front indicators were replaced with clear glass indicators, and the rear light cluster was changed with the orange turn signals replaced with clear grey. The side marker lights on the front wings were changed from orange to clear, and the bumpers were also changed slightly for a more defined, chiseled appearance and the interior saw a few tweaks also. Condition The beautiful example is in delightful condition. To try explain: If you had just paid 10x the money for a 911 Turbo and it arrived in this condition - you would be happy. There is really only the odd stone chip to comment on the nose and the cabin could be that of a car far younger. The paintwork is superb with no real marks to speak of. There are some expected chips to the nose, but the paint finish around the body is of the highest quality that you'd expect from a cherished Porsche. There are a couple of storage dents on the bonnet, the only marks on the car, every panel is straight and lines up properly, there is no sign of any historic damage anywhere. Everything works and the drive is superb and without fault.
