First generation Boxster 986
First registered and pre delivery inspected by JCT600 in
Newcastle on the 13th Oct 1998. This is a matching numbers car
with all original factory panels. The original keeper has had an
enviable great time with the options catalogue when it came to
speccing this Boxster, from the exquisite and brave choice of
colour combo in Pastel yellow and Nephrite green cabin, the M030
lowered and stiffened sport suspension, auto braking
differential, hardback sports seats, the extended leather cabin
(leather dash and door panels), the Cup 3 twits rims and colour
coded roll bar, this is a car specced for a driver.
There are plenty silver with black or blue around but if you
like this sort of thing (as we most certainly do), there is no
substitute for a flamboyant classic Porsche!
Condition
Very tidy body with clean straight panels and good paint finish.
It had a full respray in 2016 due to UV patina in the paint, it
hasn't done 5000 miles since so it retains a fresh appearance.
The cabin is superb, the colour is fantastic and a rarity. The
leather dash and doors are unmarked as are the carpets, the
leather chairs are in good order with little mileage related
wear, everything is in working order, nothing is missing or
broken.
Electric roof is in perfect working order with clean black
canvas which has a fresh appearance and a crystal clear vinyl
rear window.
Excellent driving vehicle, the stainless exhaust makes it sound
the way it always should have, it's reasonably loud and enhances
the boxer engine growl by a factor of 10. It handles noticeably
better than the cars without the expensive Sport chassis option
and makes for a sportier driving experience.
Wheels & tyres
Factory option wheels are in great order, Carerra Cup 3 twists
are 17" with 7" 205/50 up front and 8.5" 255/40. Each one has a
matching tyre with deep tread. The wheels have a good finish,
they have minor marks but none that would a refurb.
