Full Service History
Guards Red

First registered 16.10.2003
Enthusiasts have cherished this lovely low mileage Boxster finished in
striking Guards Red, is there a better colour for one of these?

Particular attention is to be drawn to the glistening condition of the
paintwork on this example, it's all factory paint and more or less unmarked.
This has been a garaged pampered Boxster and it exudes the appearance of
a much younger vehicle. Take the time to study the many images taken to
illustrate this rare condition.

The Boxster 2.7 Facelift
The Boxster became the yardstick by which all other sports cars were judged,
including Porsche’s own 911. It blends thrilling performance and excellent
road holding with surprising practicality, effectively having two luggae
compartments and impressive build quality.
The earliest 2.5-litre versions can feel a little underpowered. This is the
final evolution of the 986 model and as such the best of the model range with
the powerful 228 bhp unit that is a sheer delight and razor sharp to drive.

The model received a minor facelift in 2003 however it all added up to a far
more appealing car. The plastic rear window was replaced by glass with obvious
benefits arising. Porsche installed a different exhaust pipe and modified air
intake. The often disliked orange "fried egg" front indicators were replaced
with clear glass indicators, and the rear light cluster was changed, with
orange turn signals replaced with clear grey. The side marker lights on the
front wings were changed from orange to clear, and the bumpers were also
changed slightly for a more defined, chiselled appearance, the interior got
a few tweak's also.

Alloys/Tyres
Factory upgraded larger 18" Turbo rims set the appearance of the car off nicely.
They are in excellent condition. Matching Falken tyres all round that have just
recently been replaced.

Summary
The majority of the earlier Boxster's cars are starting to look quite rough
round the edges and for those of you who may have travelled to view the
"mint example" that subsequently and predictably turns out to be not quite as
described - this could well be the car for you.
A loved car, that is clear from the first glance, and very genuine. Maintained
extremely well and no expense has been spared. The low miles have been very kind
to it and has had routine money getting spent regular. For me the 2.7 has always
been the pick of the bunch as generally they are more reliable and not driven as
hard as the 3.2.
