First registered in UK by Mann Island Porsche in Liverpool on
01.05.04 this
968 has a wonderful story and specification coming direct from
seventeen year ownership of a Lady who was among other talents a
historic Rallye driver. The first owner (also a lady) specced
the car new and owned three years through to August 2007 when it
was traded to Porsche Chester and then sold to Mrs T as part of
the approved used Porsche programme and it has been lavished
with care since, and I mean in detail and to great expense.
(Service history summary below).
Particular attention is draw to the glistening condition of the
paintwork
on this example, this has been a garaged pampered Boxster.
Peace Of Mind - Service History £35000 Of Bills
This has been extremely well looked after and is beyond question
or reproach. Accompanied with a service record from main dealers
and George Morrison specialist.
A staggering amount of money been invested ensuring this car
performs as it should, a summary below of some of the more
relevant recent jobs documented, this being over and above
annual servicing.
The Boxster 3.2 S Facelift
The Boxster became the yardstick by which all other sports cars
were judged, including Porsche’s own 911. It blends thrilling
performance and excellent road holding with surprising
practicality (the Boxster effectively has two boots) and
impressive build quality. The earliest 2.5-litre versions can
feel a little underpowered. This is the final evolution of the
986 model and as such the best of the model range with the
powerful 260 bhp unit that is a sheer delight and razor sharp to
drive.
The model received a minor facelift in 2003 all adding upto a
far more appealing car. The plastic rear window was replaced by
glass with obvious benefits arising. Porsche installed a
different exhaust pipe and modified air intake. The
often-disliked orange "fried egg" front indicators were replaced
with clear glass indicators, and the rear light cluster was
changed, with orange turn signals replaced with clear grey. The
side marker lights on the front wings were changed from orange
to clear, and the bumpers were also changed slightly for a more
defined, chiselled appearance, the interior had a few tweak's
also.
Alloys/Tyres/Brakes
Factory upgraded larger 18 " BBS classic rims set the appearance
of the car off nicely. They are in excellent condition. Matching
Pirelli tyres all round in good condition. All brake components
are as new and the genuine article.
