1993 FORD SIERRA SAPPHIRE COSWORTH 4WD Totally Original & Unmodified Rare Nouveau Red Stunning Investment RS K146 FTW - An Iconic British Classic First registered and pre delivery inspected by Rates Ford in Grays, Essex on 12.07.1993. This may be among the very last of these models UK registered and is finished in the rare Nouveau Red. The service history is wholly comprehensive inclusive of all mot records and historic tax discs. Being owned by a Ford aficionado it has been stored with a great deal of sympathy and used carefully, which is of course the secret to classic car ownership. Originality Factory standard in every detail with only the addition of an immobiliser for added security and a fruitier exhaust. HPi clean in all respects. Matching numbers to all chassis plates and stamps, genuine & unmolested of which there are very few around, immaculate bodywork untouched interior, original stereo and amp, original airbox and cambelt cover, original amber indicator lenses, spare alloy, and tools, front and rear number plates and rear window decal etc etc. Complete Ford book pack, with all relevant supplied driver handbooks, audio manuals, radio code and rare original service booklet. There is also every mot from early 90s onwards plus a host of historic bills dating back to birth date. The preservation of all the above is top of the shelf. Service History - 18 Stamps Unusual to find an old Ford with all the book pack manuals and service booklet, though present here. The most recent test expired April 22 and has been stored since. A new test will be completed upon sale, interested parties will note how clean and mot history is logged, there have been no advisories of any note in many years. Condition The exterior presents beautifully, the underside is as new, inner doors, door rubbers, sills, under engine. It’s never been undersealed so it’s a transparent car with nothing to hide. All areas are beautiful. On The Road The mint condition inside and out continues with the wheels moving, it drives perfect, the engine is so smooth and quiet, gearbox is nice and tight selecting gears smoothly with no crunchies rattles or wines. The modest bhp figure is not to be sneered at, there is lightness and agility to the car, it lifts up and flies when you floor it. I have driven and owned many Cosworth’s, I don’t recall one that drove so sweet on the road, it’s just been properly looked after and feels sharp and box fresh... Summary This is a true collector‘s piece and a rare example of an unmolested original Cosworth finished in a desirable colour with the preferable period leather Recaros. Its a low owners/miles car with provenance, perfect condition with no cover ups or dodgy history and total originality, you will struggle to find better. The values continue to climb with genuine RS models continuing to pile on value.
