2000 996.1 PORSCHE 996 GT3 Leather Buckets & Carbon Biblical Service History 52000 Miles The Original GT3 The first and arguably the best of the GT3 brand, the iconic Mezger engined manual gearbox analogue car remains the same sensation now as it did 22 years ago, only driving today it feels very special. It’s very sharp and hands on, though equally smooth and precise, and the closest thing you will get to running your hand over the surface of the road, the car communicating every detail that the chassis absorbs, keepng little to guesswork, and this is where the later models start to become gradually diluted. It can be argued that the first generation car is high on the list of all time great Porsches, and curiously its also the rarest of all GT3 models. Specification Original matching numbers car with no flags in the history and not one that I can determine has been tracked. Aside an expensive complete sports exhaust system the remainder of the car is in stock condition. For me this is the ideal spec with the best looking seats, proper red seat belts, no annoying roll cages or harnesses etc. Finished in classic Artic silver, the coachwork is beautiful with depth and clarity to the panels. Virtually no cosmetic shortcomings. All glasses and lenses, rubbers etc are in superb condition. The engine bay is super clean and the front load area is pristine with spare and tools, compressor etc. The interior feels sharp and unused despite its years, the seats are the essential lightweight leather crested buckets, the carbon dash, gear lever and handbrake cover lends well to the cars look. Brakes/Alloys/Suspension The split rims are perfect, shod with Michelin N4 rated Pilot Sport tyres which have all been replaced in the last few hundred miles. . The brakes are in fine condition as are all the suspension components as is the underside of the car. The suspension and running gear has been been checked of late by main dealer with no flags. Service History The service history is massive. It spans 2 bespoke suede folders with bronze plaques detailing chassis number. The last major service was carried out at Porsche centre Tonbridge in April 2021. It was an in depth service and checkover paying attention to all suspension, running gear and rubber mounts. The service included a gearbox oil and filter change, a spark plug change, brake fluid change, fuel filter, poly rib belt, and new wiper blades. Distance covered since is around 1500 miles, its due a service soon which will be a minor and are not expecting any surprises with the health check given the completenesss undertaken last time around. Some other bigger jobs that have been completed in the last few years and 10000 miles are below. - Coil packs all changed - New front and rear suspension control arms - Complete Predator Sports exhaust system from Design 911 - New water pump drive belt and fixings - New coolant header tank switch and fixings The rear shock absorbers were replaced by Porsche at 20000 miles The owner’s wallet is compete with drivers handbook and service booklet containing all the service stamps as pictured. I have both keys and a tracker is fitted. Sum Up This GT3 is in fine mechanical and cosmetic condition with a sensible mileage, step in and use condition and a super service portfolio. £74,995 Let us sell your car We are always looking for classic cars in all states of repair.
