This E46 m3 is in truly fantastic condition, coming direct from a 10-year tenure of 
ownership from the most recent keeper in p/x against another M car. It has 
received committed enthusiast attention & regular cleaning & servicing with the
very best parts fluids and materials. Everything is in full working order.
A detailed photoshoot will hopefully illustrate how this example differs from the
rest, many of these cars now requiring money spent on them and specialist care. 

In addition to having a very good home, the owner knew lots about M cars, as such he 
set about improving and honing his car over the years, and I have to say the results
are superb. The comfort and compliancy of the suspension is fanatastic, as are
the brakes. Have a read below. 

Specification
Setting it firmly apart from the outset is the very high specification, as detailed
in the build sheet from what I can gather the only conceivable extra it did not receive
was a ski bag. The car is part of the Individual programme. Costing over 55k new. 
This is probabaly a unique spec BMW, so will be 1 of 1.

Service Information

Serviced extremely well which is key to any good M car, & inclusive of
the crucial running in service. In addition, there has been other
time based maintenance carried out as detailed in full below. M cars
are really all about what has been spent so this history and detailed 
care should read exactly like we all want it to, not all M3s are as 
comprehensively cared for as this one. The miles have just turned 
over 119k, though due to the work below it could pass for a 30000 
mile example, its that clean and looked after. 

- CSL Shock absorbers with Intrax lowing springs with 14mm rear spring pads.
- Rear Shocks have Tuner Motorsport top mounts.
- Spacers all round
- Rod Bearings done under Recall – in paperwork.
- Renewed 2 x front wings Gen BMW stone chipped insides of wings.
- Full front end paint and sides due to stone chips.
- Replaced Scuttle panel and bonnet vent (GEN BMW)
- Battery has being replaced and the car has always being on trickle charge when not in use.
- Oil and filter swapped around every 3k or 12 months using Fuchs 10w60 silkolene pro.
- Rear diff oil replaced 2020 using Gen BMW modified LSD Oil and new plugs
- Gearbox Oil replaced 2020 using Gen BMW Gearbox oil.
- Replace side indicators due to discolouring (GEN BMW).
- Replace Wheel Centres (Gen BMW).
- The car has always been run on super unleaded.
- Rear drivers side ABS sensor replaced due to failing.
- Magnetic Sump plug.
- Replaced Headlight lenses and pass side ballast for HID due to failing.
- All Recalls have been completed by BMW.
 
- Boot floor rein-enforcement by Reddish Motorsport Bristol with Powerflex black RTAB 
 and Yellow diff bushes.
- Vanos unit, Cam chain, Chain Guide and tensioner replaced by Mr Vanos.
- Powerflex black lollipop bushes.
- BMW Performance 6 pot calipers(E82) using Pagid RS29 brake pads and BMW CSL front Discs
  (345mm).
- Castrol SRF brake fluid.
- Rear Pads are Pagid RS29’s also and rubber bushes replace with solid brass ones to stop 
  caliper flex
- Braided Brake lines front and rear.
- New water radiator/coolant and AC condenser due to corrosion (2022) and regassed.
- Renewed inner boot tail lights due to being discoloured (Gen BMW).
- Interior has been fully restored to its original colour (Ecru) this was a full strip 
  down of the car and all the leather parts were restored including the steering wheel
  which was 2 tone from factory.
- SMG Paddles are Stormwerks and renewed when the interior was restored.
- SMG Gear stick was renewed (Gen BMW).
- SMG Motor was replaced around 90k with new fluid also.
- CSL Rev match software (M3Carbon M3Cutters).
- CSL oil warm up lights (Razza M3Cutters).
- Memory sport button (Razza M3Cutters).
- M-Track Mode (Hold DSC Button until traction light comes on in the centre of the dash and hand
- Brake light turns yellow once handbrake is released) (Razza M3Cutters).
- Renewed mirror glass x 2 (Mirror John M3Cutters).
- Renewed main mirror glass after leaking (Mirror John M3Cutters).
- Replace Glove box Torch.
- Replaced TPS in engine bay.
- BM54 Module upgraded to stage 2 with USB input in boot, Bluetooth connection for phone and to
  play music, Digital TV (Aerial needed), DAB Radio. (Carphonics).
- Plugs and coil packs renewed 2019.
- Recent new Vredstein tyres all round.

Cosmetics
Cosmetically it is of superb appearance with a deep wet look finish which thanks to having been 
treated regular with good finishing products looks superb. The shadow line Chrome alloys are all
in excellent condition though with the odd blemish. The panels are remarkably clean and damage 
free with no corrosion or splits anywhere, its 9.5 /10, the only shortcomings being a few minute
chips that have been touched in.

The interior is immaculate, a proper rerstore job with re padding to drivers seat, renewing how
it would have looked and felt when new 21 years ago. At night it looks fantastic with the 
interior lighting on.

Summary
Drive it for a day and you'll be amazed by the immediacy of its responsiveness and by the sheer 
explosiveness of its straight-line performance. The E46 is a car that truly invaded the Porsche 
Ferrari high ground of the day in terms of brutal acceleration & handling, yet is also one of
a limited few versatile and accomplished all-round performance modern classics on the market
today. The ride is a delight, as is the perfection of its form to the eye, the fine resolution
of its details and the depth of its engineering, the E46 has it all and more and is/was a truly
defining car for Bmw and are now becoming very collectable.
