This is a genuine hpi clear highly maintained example complete
with a detailed service record with fortunes spent on
maintenance. Recently tested and sitting on excellent premium
brake & tyre components it ready to be enjoyed.
Having owned a few of these, this example is remarkably box
fresh in all areas looking wonderful in flat Black.
It has been extremely well serviced and sits on quality new
tyres and genuine brake components which in my experience is
always the first thing to get skimped on. Striking looking Sedan
with a complete story with nothing missing, certainly a future
classic these models are drying up and have stopped
depreciating. Key to this cars appeal are the subtle performance
enhancements that take it to the next level in terms of sound
and handling (detailed below).
Service History - 15 Stamps - £14000 Of Bills
The service book is fully stamped, I have checked virtually
every aspect of it. Clear read on the diagnostic, no fault codes
and no faults. All service stamps are pictured. Some of the most
recent major expenditure is detailed below that has occurred in
the last five years. There is a complete spread of paper bills
complimenting the service stamps together with a full MOT
history. There is a receipt for a new clutch flywheel in the
past with genuine parts.
The RS4
The cars compact executive body subtly underplays its remarkable
performance potential. A compact 4.2-litre eight-cylinder
powerhouse
that delivers a peak output of 420bhp with Zero to 62mph
acceleration
dispatched in 4.8 seconds, onto an electronically limited top
speed
of 155mph. However, its far from just being a one-dimensional
car, it
provides a comfortable and functional cockpit, fine-quality
materials
and upscale conveniences. Its trump card for me is its
adaptability,
it sounds utterly fantastic, and when the weather turns foul its
has
tractional qualities that are truly inspiring for a driver. The
RS4 is a car that makes sense in such a wet country as ours.
With all
wheel-drive traction and a whole raft of electronic safety
measures,
its effortlessly secure, a combination of big power, damp roads
and an
enthusiastic approach wont phase it at all.
Interior
Audi interiors are some of the finest in the luxury car arena,
one
look at the RS4's cabin and the high quality of materials used
is quickly
apparent. Tasteful accents abound, the serious performance
intentions
of the Audi RS4 are reinforced by standard Recaro front seats
which
feature aggressive bolstering to hold one in place during
spirited runs
through the twisties. These are rarer and more comfortable
alternative to
the wingback options. The cabin as is clearly visible from the
many
pictures is in excellent condition and in full working order.
The B7 RS4
The RS4 is a beautifully executed car, its always feel alert and
agile, instantly responsive and supremely powerful, a real
taskmaster.
Key to the appeal is the time proven engine, whether pottering
at 2000 rpm
or right up top at 8200 rpm, its just fantastic everywhere, this
coupled
with the driver input required from the 6-speed manual and its a
vehicle that
is very difficult to trump in any area. This is among the last
of the proper
analogue V8 manual cars ever made, the likes of which we will
never see
again, the political climate dictates that vehicles such as
these belong
to an era that was the Golden age for high performance drivers’
cars.
Summary
A genuinely outstanding pampered car that looks magnificent,
smooth,
supercar rapid when prodded, stylish and luxurious all set to a
glorious
V8 soundtrack. Over the next few years, as the number of
original
RS4s on the road continues to dwindle, values will start to rise
- so
buying a top example now could prove a good long-term
investment. And
when the mood takes you, and those roads are quiet, Audi's
genre-defining
RS4 Avant delivers a blast from the past that still has most
contemporary
rivals outclassed.
