1995 VOLVO 850 T-5 R ESTATE MANUAL - GENUINE UK FACTORY CAR
Cream/Gull Yellow
Superb Service History
Excellent Condition
152,900 miles
Only 3 Owners
It's a factory Gull yellow manual estate, with a detailed history
with virtual
every receipt & MOT back to when it was new.
First supplied by Roy Paul Volvo in Bangor on 18th January 1995, the
original
order form is present as is the delivery receipt & warranty
paperwork etc.
It was a company director (car repair garage network) that owned it
for 15 years
and 146,000 miles. It was maintained by Volvo for the first 5yrs
then a combination
of his own business & an independent Volvo specialist later in his
ownership.
It was a Northern Ireland registered car originally, I've been told
it was the only
Cream (Gull) Yellow car to be registered in NI but not confirmed.
Only 3 owners. First from '95 - '14 , 2nd for a few months in 2014
through to September
2014 an the most recent to now. Its a relatively well known car, its
been featured
in the club magazine a few times, including the Cover Story in
December 2018 & most
recently in last years club photo competition (2nd place).
It's had a few subtle modifications - reverse intercooler kit (just
as Volvo originally
designed but changed due to extreme low temperature running issues),
BSR air filter &
heat shield, a dump valve & extremely rare twin headlamps - the type
that retains the
Volvo indicators. I also have all the original parts if someone
wanted to return it
to factory standard. Original & sought after 850 carpet mats in
excellent condition
Original & sought after T-5R service book & owners manual
The car underwent a significant refresh 2014 & late 2015. Since then
it's only done
approx 700mls always on sunny days. Literally have tens of thousand
pounds worth of
receipts.
Very rare twin headlamp conversion, the type that retains the
original Volvo indicators
(I have the originals also)
Leather upholstery in great condition
Retractable 7 seater (2 boot fold up seats)
Space-saver spare
Volvo detachable tow-bar, all wired & working
Luggage blind present & working
Every suspension bush & ball joint replaced
Suspension wishbones replaced
Disks, pads replaced
Full timing belt kit fitted
Custom built exhaust (original system no longer available)
1 new Volvo front wing. The other was in perfect condition -
probably renewed before my ownership.
New Front Bilstein B4 struts
New Heating matrix
2 keys 2 Fobs (1 working key fob)
New Volvo ignition switch fitted this year
New Volvo oil cooler hoses fitted this year (weeping)
New Volvo clutch master cylinder fitted this year
New clutch slave cylinder fitted this year
Original Volvo stereo / head unit, fully functioning with code.
Seat heaters all work
Electric seats all work
Electric windows all work
Electric sunroof works in all directions
Central locking all working
Headlamp washer/wipers work
The Titan wheels were all powder coated, they remain in 'as new'
condition.
4nr Hankook Ventus tyres in good condition (approx 5mm all around)
The whole underside & arches were Dinatrol treated during the
refresh.
Multiple other maintenance & repair jobs too - details contained in
history paperwork.
It's been resprayed before my ownership.
When I purchased it, presumably following the respray, various trims
& retaining clips were
missing, Volvo clips were sourced to ensure best fitment &
originality.
So what needs done. Very little to be honest. AC doesn't work.
Possible re-gas or
compressor clutch (known issue). The wheel alignment done after all
the suspension
replacement but the steering wheel needs centered. None of these
items stop the car
driving like a dream which it does.
Summary
An opportunity to own, what is becoming an extremely rare & sought
after car which is appreciating
significantly in value. It's absolutely stunning and there are few
like it in this condition &
possibly none with this history. No it's not in concourse condition,
so there are a couple of
very minor blemishes, marks, black bumper fade. There is a couple of
marks on the rear bumper
plastic (black section) but I'm doing it an injustice even
mentioning these items given it’s
a 27 year old car.
