Jaguar XJ12 6.0 Saloon (X305)
Superb Documented Servicing
Excellent Condition
The Last V12
The Coventry commies excelled themselves with this power-plant; one
of the last
uncompromising designs where the focus was on surreal smoothness (an area of
total
triumph) rather than performance or indeed, any tacit nod in the vague
direction
of 'gesture' economy. The X300 model is better built than any previous
Jaguar and is not
a fragile car, the best looking saloon car ever? perhaps, and the sensation
that
the horizon is moving towards you rather than you sprinting to it, your
motoring
eduction is not complete until you have owned a Jaguar 6.0 V12. The big 12
is
darn near bulletproof, and the sound they make on start up is like that of
an aircraft,
ultra smooth, go ahead and balance that 50p coin on op of the engine.
History
This XJ12 in Ice Blue metallic and Regatta Blue hide with Walnut fascia was
manufactured
on 14th October 1994 and delivered to Jaguar Cars Ltd where it lived its
first 2 years
as a demonstrator for use by senior management. It was first registered on
11th November
1994. Showing only 4 owners, they have owned it for long periods of time,
lst keeper for
12 years. This is pretty rare on a twenty year old car! A 14 stamp service
record accompanies
it and a rather thick folder of bills neatly presented in chronological
order including a
sea of Mots. It has never been in an accident and the panel gaps are bang on
and is
therefore HPi clean in all respects.

Body
The bodywork really is in fantastic condition for a car of this age and
better than any
other X300 I have come across at Jaguar rallies. You won’t be disappointed.
I’ve taken
pictures of the sills to show how solid and straight they are as this is
often an X300
weak spot. All chrome is tidy. The interior is very straight with next to no
wear. The
woodwork is all perfect and everything works exactly as it should.
Cabin
The interior is a wonderful place to be, totally silent and
cosseting the occupants whilst
the vehicle goes about it's business in the most unobtrusive manner, every
journey seems
too short! Period specification to include leather upholstery, electric seat
height adj
climate control air conditioning, cruise control, original Clarion stereo,
remote central
locking, electric windows front and rear, electric mirrors, fog lamps, trip
and fuel
computer, 16 inch style alloys with excellent Pirelli tyres all round,
original deep pile
carpet mats. The original tool kit is all present and correct. The steering
wheel adjusts
for reach and this car has a working electric rear blind. No modifications
at all and as
it rolled out the factory aside the fitting of a supercharger front grill
which enhances
it.
Other Information
This is a real find and it will be very difficult indeed to replace this
car, the
limited production numbers and short life cycle correlates to very very few
examples
being registered at all and even less still on the road.
